Home Births & VBACs

Home Births

Choosing a home birth offers a safe, natural, and empowering way to welcome your baby into the world—right in the comfort of your own space. We provide expert midwifery care, continuous support, and personalized birth planning to ensure a calm and well-prepared experience. With a strong focus on safety, comfort, and your unique birth preferences, our team is with you every step of the way to help create a meaningful and memorable birth.

For most of human history, babies were born at home with the support of midwives, family members, and community. Home birth was the norm until the early 20th century, when advances in medicine and hospital access shifted most births to medical settings. In recent decades, however, home birth has regained popularity among families seeking a more natural, personalized, and low-intervention experience. Today, with trained midwives and clear safety protocols, home birth is a trusted and respected choice for many expecting parents.

VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean)

VBAC stands for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean. It offers women who have previously had a C-section the opportunity to give birth vaginally in a future pregnancy. With the right support and screening, VBAC can be a safe and empowering option for many mothers. We provide personalized care, thorough risk assessment, and continuous support to help you make an informed choice that aligns with your birth goals.

For many years, it was believed that “once a C-section, always a C-section.” However, in the 1980s and 1990s, research and clinical experience began to show that many women could safely have a vaginal birth after a cesarean (VBAC). As awareness and support grew, VBAC became a more widely accepted option. While some hospitals limited VBAC access in the early 2000s due to liability concerns, recent guidelines and growing evidence continue to support VBAC as a safe and appropriate choice for many women, when carefully monitored by skilled providers.
